Covered Bridge Festival Guide



Welcome to Indiana’s Historic Parke County! As you travel the Covered Bridge Capitol of the World you have the opportunity to visit a number of Festival sites from Montezuma to Mansfield, Rosedale to Tangier...and Bridgeton, Rockville, Billie Creek Village, Mecca and Bloomingdale in-between. The Covered Bridge Festival Visitor’s Guide highlights some Festival sites, merchants and vendors. Historic Bridgeton
Located south of Rockville on the
Red Covered Bridge Tour route, discover quality handmade crafts, food and entertainment. Bridgeton is well known for it’s rustic Grist Mill and Indiana’s most famous Covered Bridge rebuilt in 2006!
Billie Creek Village
On US 36, a mile east of downtown Rockville is a recreated turn-of-the century village a farmstead...a living museum offering Covered Bridge Festival visitors three covered bridges, a general store, and over 30 historical buildings, along with entertainment, food, crafts and demonstrations.
P&T Carriage Rides
Make it an extra memorable visit to the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival...treat yourself and your family to a horse-drawn carriage ride through historic downtown Rockville with P&T Carriage Rides. Look for us on the east side of the Rockville Courthouse Square each and every day, 9 ‘til 6.
Mansfield & MansfieldVillage
On State Road 59 in eastern Parke County along the Black Covered Bridge Tour Route, Mansfield features a covered bridge, a historic mill, and a whole lot more including unlimited shopping and a taste of food for the entire family!
Turkey Run Inn and Turkey Run State Park
Along the Brown Covered Bridge Tour Route on State Road 47 north of Rockville. Enjoy great food, comfortable lodging & gracious hospitality and enjoy many activities in or around Turkey Run State Park such as horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, mini-golf, go-karts, an interpretive Nature Center & 14 miles of hiking trails.

Granny's Tea Cozies  -  Specializing in pretty with unique and different items from tea sets and accessories to jewelry and other unique hand-made treasures.  Under the big tent on the north side of the Rockville Courthouse Square and online at grannysteacozies.com
Montezuma
Montezuma on U.S. 36, and the Brown Covered Bridge Tour route, is the western gateway to the Covered Bridge Capitol offering Festival visitors a Hog roast, antiques, food, shopping. Visit the Wabash-Erie Canal and learn its history.
The Covered Bridge Art Gallery
Located on the north side of the Historic Rockville Courthouse Square. Open daily during the Festival, the Gallery features the works of local artists for viewing and purchase.

Rosedale
Rosedale is the southern gateway to Indiana’s Historic Parke County and is located on the popular Red Covered Bridge Tour Route. Visitors to Rosedale will enjoy a community gathering of arts and crafts as well as hidden treasures! Stop by to shop, eat and enjoy the genuine and sincere hospitality!

 

Tangier 
Located on the Yellow and Blue Covered Bridge Festival Routes, feast on World Famous Tangier Buried Beef cooked and served daily at the small community of Tangier in northern Parke County and browse handmade and homemade arts and crafts as well.

Bloomingdale 
Located just west of US 41, north of Rockville, Festival visitors enjoy homemade apple butter made and sold on site! Arts, crafts and food are made in the community as well! Bloomingdaleis the home of the Bloomingdale Friends Church and was home to stations of the Underground Railroad during that time in our country’s history.

Mecca
Located on the Red and Brown Covered Bridge Tour Routes, visit the one room school house located next to the Mecca Covered Bridge....homemade crafts and food are available as well. Mecca host it’s annual community Homecoming the first weekend of the Covered Bridge Festival.
