Hardy's Past Year Rewarded
When an NFL player is sidelined indefinitely by injury there is very little that feels rewarding. You can't contribute to your team's success on the field. You can't spend as much time with your teammates. You can't show your coaches what you're truly capable of. Such was the existence of Bills wide receiver James Hardy in 2009. In the end however, for Hardy, there was a reward.

IU Athletics Participates in Read Across America
Approximately 80 Indiana student-athletes and coaches participated in this year's Read Across America on March 2, which is also the birthday of Dr. Seuss.

Bill and Linda Lynch Kick Off Heroes for the American Red Cross Campaign
Indiana head football coach Bill Lynch and his wife, Linda, kicked off the annual Heroes for the American Red Cross campaign at a luncheon in Memorial Stadium's Hoosier Room on Wednesday. Bill and Linda are co-chairs of the Monroe County Chapter fundraising campaign.

Moriarity Named Offensive Line Coach at Indiana
Indiana head football coach Bill Lynch announced this afternoon that Myron "Mo" Moriarity will join the Hoosier staff as the team's offensive line coach. Moriarity replaces Bobby Johnson, who took an assistant offensive line coach position with the Buffalo Bills on Feb. 17.

Defensive ends Jammie Kirlew and Greg Middleton are two of the four Hoosiers at the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. They met with the media Saturday afternoon and will work out Monday.

Four Hoosiers Ready for NFL Combine
Left tackle Rodger Saffold, safety Nick Polk and defensive ends Jammie Kirlew and Greg Middleton will arrive at the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis this week. The Combine begins today and runs through Tuesday, March 2. Coverage begins on the NFL Network Thursday and workouts will air live starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday-Tuesday.

Johnson Accepts Position with Buffalo Bills
Indiana offensive line coach Bobby Johnson has been hired as assistant offensive line coach with the National Football League's Buffalo Bills. Johnson, who served as IU's offensive line coach since 2005, will join head coach Chan Gailey's staff immediately.

Porter, Roby Celebrate Super Bowl Championship
Tracy Porter picked off a Peyton Manning pass and returned it 74 yards for a score with 3:12 remaining to clinch the New Orleans Saints 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV. Porter celebrated the franchise's first championship with another former Hoosier, Courtney Roby, on Sunday evening.

Hoosiers Sign 25 to National Letters of Intent
Twenty-five student-athletes will continue their football playing careers at Indiana University, head coach Bill Lynch announced on Wednesday. Lynch's third recruiting class includes the Illinois and Indiana Players of the Year in addition to 16 three-star recruits in the Rivals.com and Scout.com rankings.
