Victory Days: The WWII Historical Event of the Year

Victory Days is a living, interactive World War Two era recreation designed to honor, preserve and perpetuate the memory and sacrifices made by so many Americans during WWII. By turning back the clock at the Terre Haute International Airport October 3rd, 4th and 5th to the 1940’s, this community-based event serves as a living museum designed to entertain and educate visitors as they enter an authentic re-enactment of both military and civilian life.

You can get In the Mood for dancing to the big band sound provided by the Stardusters on Friday, October 3rd at the hangar dinner dance. In addition to special entertainment by the Sisters of Swing, there will be both a silent and a live auction to raise money for the Victory Days beneficiaries.
Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the hundreds of re-enactors in an authentic encampment, walking through it and seeing authentic field conditions, uniforms and sleeping arrangements.
A World War II era living museum would not be complete without an authentic battalion field hospital and surgical tent.
Gather friends and family at Victory Days and enjoy a Vintage Car Exhibit that is unlikely to be repeated anywhere in the Midwest this year!
Military and pre-war civilian aircraft will be on display throughout the event. In particular, military primary, basic, and advanced trainers, liaison aircraft, cargo, fighter, light, medium and heavy bombers will be exhibited throughout the weekend.
Casablanca will be shown both Friday and Saturday night at Victory Days at a hangar, just like our servicemen viewed movies during the war years.
Please join us in our living room exhibit and watch women working on a Victory Quilt. You can view some of the ladies’ finished quilts while you’re at it.
Victory Days will have several tractors and farm implements of the day on display.
Friday is “School Day” at Victory Days. Hundreds of students of all ages will attend as part of class trips. Experiential learning is great way to put history in perspective. Scholarship support is still needed to help fund the school trips. Contact to participate.
